Women in STEM: Deutsche Bank Awards Scholarships to Four First-Year Engineering Students

The scholarship recipients include Smruti Chivale (CSE - AI), Ishika Kestwal (CSE - Cyber Security), Shreya More (IT), and Gargi Ganore (CSE - Cyber Security).

Pune: Four first-year students from G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Pune, have been awarded the prestigious Deutsche Bank Engineering Scholarship 2025. This initiative aims to empower women in engineering by offering financial support, technical resources, and career development opportunities.

The scholarship recipients include Smruti Chivale (CSE - AI), Ishika Kestwal (CSE - Cyber Security), Shreya More (IT), and Gargi Ganore (CSE - Cyber Security). Each student will receive ₹1 lakh per year, a laptop for academic use, and learning support throughout their four-year course. Additionally, they will have access to internship programs and a potential Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) upon successfully completing their degree.

The official scholarship distribution ceremony was held at Deutsche Bank’s Pune office, where the Managing Director and leadership team formally handed over the scholarship letters to the selected students. Sachin Umare, Head of Training and Placements at GHRCEM Pune, played a key role in mentoring and guiding the students through the application process, ensuring their eligibility and success.

Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director of GHRCEM Pune, stated: "This scholarship is a testament to our commitment to providing quality education and career opportunities for our students. The Deutsche Bank Engineering Scholarship not only offers financial aid but also ensures long-term career growth and professional development."

Sunil Raisoni, Chairman of Raisoni Education, Shreyas Raisoni, Executive Director of Raisoni Education, and Dr. Kharadkar acknowledged their hard work and dedication, emphasizing GHRCEM’s ongoing efforts to support young talent and foster excellence in engineering education.
