On Wednesday, India summoned the Pakistani Charge d’Affaires (CDA) over what it described as “unacceptable conduct” by a Pakistan Navy vessel that resulted in a collision with an Indian Navy ship in international waters in the Arabian Sea.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that the diplomat was instructed to inform the relevant Pakistani authorities of the necessity for all military units to exercise due caution and adhere to the provisions of existing agreements between the two countries to avoid a recurrence of such incidents.

A navy veteran by name of Manan Bhatt posted video on X which shows the footage when Pakistani naval vessel rammed on Indian destroyer in international waters.

The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the CDA was called in today, where a formal and strong protest was conveyed to him regarding the unacceptable and unprofessional actions of Pakistani naval units at sea, which resulted in a collision with an Indian Navy vessel.

It stated that although the episode occurred in international waters and did not result in significant damage, the actions of the Pakistani naval vessel directly violated Article 10 of the April 1991 agreement between India and Pakistan on Advance Notice on Military Exercises, Manoeuvres and Troop Movements.

The Charge d’Affaires of India in Islamabad has also been instructed to lodge a similar protest with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the MEA said.

X user posted similar video of Pakistan naval vessel NS Babur colliding with INS Godavari in Gulf of Aden in June 2011.
