Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expecting second child

The baby will be eighth in line to the British throne.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child, a spokesman said in a Valentine's Day announcement.

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said in a statement

The couple also released a black-and-white image of them under a tree.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "Her Majesty, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales and the entire family are delighted and wish them well."

The baby will be eighth in line to the British throne.

Meghan and Harry, who is Queen Elizabeth II's grandson, quit frontline royal duties in March last year and now live in California.

Since leaving, the couple has launched themselves into the public eye with high-profile commercial projects along with several legal cases against news outlets alleging invasion of privacy.
