Pune: Shivajinagar District and Sessions Court has granted bail to Bhagyesh Oswal, a friend of Gaurav Ahuja, in the case related to an obscene act at a traffic signal. Oswal was inside the car when Ahuja committed the act, and both were arrested by the Pune Police.

The incident took place in Pune’s Yerawada area when Gaurav Ahuja stepped out of his luxury car at a traffic signal and engaged in obscene behavior while urinating in public. At the time, Oswal remained seated inside the vehicle.

Following the incident, Pune Police arrested both Ahuja and Oswal and presented them before the court. Oswal was sent to Yerawada Jail but was granted bail by the Pune Sessions Court on Wednesday.

After the Yerawada incident, Ahuja traveled to Karad, where he released a video apologizing for his behavior before surrendering to the police. Investigations revealed that he had also changed the number plate of his BMW before being apprehended. The police have since seized the vehicle.

Criminal Background of Ahuja Family

Further investigations have revealed that both Gaurav Ahuja and his father, Manoj Ahuja, have been involved in criminal activities, including cricket betting and extortion. Reports indicate that they have previously served jail sentences.

The Ahuja family has been traditionally involved in the lottery business and has recently ventured into the hotel industry, owning a hotel in Pune. However, their alleged involvement in illegal cricket betting has also come to light during the investigation.
