Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday commented on Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and her statements made in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. In his Dussehra speech, without naming actress Kangana Ranaut, the CM said, "Those who don't even proper food in their state come here, make money and then become 'namak-haram' (traitors) by comparing Mumbai with Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and defaming the state, its leaders and the police department."

Just a day after, Kangana on Monday in a series of tweets led attack on Maharashtra CM. In a tweet, she said, “You should be ashamed of yourself chief minister, being a public servant you are indulging in petty fights, using your power to insult, damage and humiliate people who don’t agree with you, you don’t deserve the chair you have acquired by playing dirty politics. SHAME.”

Her another tweet read: “I am overwhelmed at this open bullying by a working CM so there is a typo in first tweet, it should be no crime in Himachal, yes clarifying again we don’t have poor or very rich people or any crimes in Himachal, it’s a spiritual place with very innocent and kind people..”

The Tanu Weds Manu actor had targeted the Mumbai Police and expressed concerned over her safety in the state after which Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had stated that she should not come back to Mumbai from Manali if she feels that the police can’t protect her. This displeased Kangana who then compared Mumbai with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir earlier.
