2 dead, 6 injured in hoarding padle collapse at Juna Bazar Chowk

PUNE: Two persons  lost their lives on the spot and six others sustained serious injuries after an enormous hoarding padle collapsed at Juna Bazar chowk (Shahir Amir Shaikh chwok) on Friday afternoon. Parts of the hoarding is hanging after the incident.

After the incident police officials and local residents rushed the victims to nearby Sassoon hospital. Two persons declared deead on arrival, while condition of three is said to be critical. Six autorickshaws, car and few bikes were also damaged in the incident. 

According to police, the hoardings padles are located in the premises of railways. The commuters were standing at the busy junction when the haording padles collapsed and fell on the vehicles. The traffic was thrown out of gear due to the commotion. Deputy commissioner of Police (traffic) Tejaswi Satpute and other officials rushed to the spot to manage the traffic and provide assistance to victims.
