20-year-old booked for sexually assaulting minors in Yerawada

Pune: A 20-year-old youth was booked by Yerawada police for allegedly sexually assaulting two juveniles at observation home in Yerawada.

Yerawada police said the incident occurred two weeks ago. Police said that accused Nitin Kadam was lodged at the juvenile home, as he had committed a crime in 2013 and was a minor then.

The accused has been booked under sections 377, 323 and other sections of IPC. Police Sub-Inspector Arun Gaud of Yerawada police station said that police is in process of investigating the case. The victims told police that the accused forcefully took them to the bathroom and assaulted them sexually. The victims told Sachin Jadhav, a staff of the observation home, about the incident. Following this, Jadhav approached the Yerawada police to lodge a case.
