27-yr-old woman loses Rs 67K online

PUNE: A 27-year-old woman approached the Wakad police and lodged a case of cheating after she lost Rs 67,000 from her account. 

The woman told police that the incident took place in March this year. 

The police said the woman downloaded a mobile application of an online shopping site on her phone. She purchased some clothes for Rs 2,500 and the amount was deducted from her account. As she did not receive the clothes that she ordered, she lodged an online complaint. Later, she received a mail asking her to furnish more details. The victim shared her details and mobile number and Rs 67,000 was debited from her account. 

The woman then lodged a case with the Wakad police station.
