Ammunition Factory Khadki to organise exhibition of arms and ammunition

Pune: Ammunition Factory Khadki (AFK) is going to celebrate Ordnance Factory Day on Friday at Khadki. To commemorate the event, an exhibition of arms and ammunition has been organised at ‘Anand Bhavan’, Range Hill Estate, Khadki. 

Every year, March 18 is observed as ‘Ordnance Factory Day’ as the first ammunition producing factory was established on March 18, 1802, at Cossipore (Kolkata) in the name of ‘Gun and Shell Factory’, under the aegis of Ministry of Defence.

The exhibition will be open to the public without any entrance fee. It is going to be inaugurated by Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, Senior General Manager, AFK on Friday at 6 pm. The exhibition will be kept for the public on Friday from 6 pm to 9.30 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm.

A blood donation camp has also been organised at Ordnance Factory Hospital, Khadki.
