Army jawan killed by his two cousins

Pune: A 26-year-old army jawan was allegedly murdered by his two cousins after a petty quarrel in Govedigar village of Wai in Satara on Sunday night.

Wai police identified the deceased as Ganesh Pisal (26) and the accused as his cousins, Sunil Gadve and Sagar Pisal who is a CISF jawan. The police arrested Sagar and Sunil.

The police said Ganesh, Sagar, Sunil and seven others went to Velang for a religious function. Later they went to Dhom and drank liquor. Ganesh asked his relative Amol Pisal about a quarrel between Amol and his sister, but this led to a clash between Ganesh and Amol. Sagar intervened and Ganesh entered into a brawl with Sagar and Sunil. Ganesh was later pronounced dead.

The police said they are yet to receive the autopsy report of Ganesh, who had suffered head injuries.
