BNHS will conduct new certificate courses

PUNE: The Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) will be conducting three certificate courses under the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF and CC), Government of India. 

The technical training courses have been designed for youths from rural areas where local communities depend heavily on natural bio-resources.

The objective of this course was to train youths to develop a comprehensive and good quality People’s Biodiversity Register (PBR) at the village panchayat level. These courses are free of cost.

The courses that will continue for 20 days will tentatively be held in the months of January-February 2020. The last date to apply for the same is December 15.

- Development of PBR and management of BMCs under Biological Diversity Act 2002
- Key Biodiversity Area Identification and Monitoring
- Bird Ringing and Bird Migration Study by Bird Ringing
