Central Railway Meets MPs to Discuss New Projects and Passenger Facilities in Pune and Solapur

MPs discuss better facilities and new projects for Pune and Solapur divisions; GM assures quick action on demands.

Pune, 24 June 2025: Central Railway’s General Manager Dharam Veer Meena held a meeting with Members of Parliament from Pune and Solapur on June 23 at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office in Pune. Senior railway officials, including Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers of Pune and Solapur, were also present.

During the meeting he highlighted the achievements of Central Railway, including prestigious awards like the G.B. Pant Shield and innovation awards, which show the dedication of the railway staff.

During the meeting, Rajesh Kumar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager of Pune, and Sujeet Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager of Solapur, gave detailed presentations on the recent progress and upcoming plans for their divisions. They explained how new trains and station upgrades are improving passenger experience.

The MPs put forward several suggestions and demands for improving railway services and infrastructure in their constituencies. They appreciated the railways for introducing modern trains like the Vande Bharat Express and schemes such as the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Railway officials assured the MPs that their requests would be considered with priority and necessary actions would be taken soon. The meeting ended on a positive note, with a commitment to work together for better passenger facilities and smooth railway operations in the region.
