Changes in MH-TET exam pattern this year

PUNE: After the notification released by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination, (MSCE) there have been a few changes introduced in the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MH-TET) exam pattern this year.

As per the notification, the candidate willing to teach from Standard I to VIII will have to qualify in both Paper I and Paper II of the Maharashtra Test Eligibility Test.

They will have to choose their degree specialisation subject compulsorily to appear in the exam.

Commissioner of Maharashtra State Council of Examination, Pune Tukaram Supe, said, “In the notification released by the MSCE, candidates will appear as per the new revised exam structure. Now the candidates have to follow the new syllabus where they have to appear for both paper I and II to teach from Standard I to VIII.” 

The TET, mandatory for teachers to continue their service, was last held on July 15, 2018.  As per the new notification, candidates from open category will have to secure 60 per cent marks in both papers separately, while reserved candidates need to get 55 per cent marks to pass the exam.
