Chitale, Recykal to launch Plastic Recycle Reloop programme

Pune: Chitale Group of Industries and Recykal Recycling Technology Platform are launching Plastic Recycle Reloop programme 
on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5. This announcement was made at a press conference held in the city on Tuesday.

Atul Chitale of Chitale Group of Industries during the interaction said, “It is the responsibility of the stakeholders along with the government to come together and find a sustainable solution for plastic recycling. Hence, to create awareness among the consumers and encourage them to contribute for the environment, we have decided to start the programme and go digital for better connectivity and transparency. Our pilot project will start in Hadapsar area but we will expand it in other parts of the city soon.”

The Chitale group and Recykal are first in the country to launch plastic disintegration Reloop programme. Under the programme, the customers can deposit washed, dried milk and other plastic bags in collection centre near their residence.  Information regarding the location of the collection centre is available on the mobile application called ‘UZED’.

Recykal co-founder Abhishek Deshpande said, “The representatives of the collection centre would collect and accept the accumulated plastic materials and weigh it. The customers would get the receipt with the weight of the deposited materials on the app itself. The customers will get loyalty points in exchange for the plastic deposited by them. The collected points could be redeemed in some reputed stores and leading e-commerce sites which are connected to this app.”
