Pune: The achievers of various exams including HSC Board, Std X CBSE Board as well as competitive exams and projects were recognised on September 8 in the IICMR Seminar Hall, City Pride School (CPS) Campus, Nigdi.

Like every year, the Managing Committee headed by Ashwini Kulkarni and Deepali Sawai, Directors, CPS, decided to acknowledge the children who brought laurels to the school during the academic year 2016-17.

269 achievers were felicitated with 158 gold medals and 111 silver medals. Students from other fields received medals including UCO, IMO, IPM, Homi Bhabha Exams, IEO, NSO, MTS and NSTSE.

Projects made by the students which won at various competitions were also recognised including Muktankgan Science Project. These included a windy car and electromagnetism and green champ that brought them the best school award.

All academic and non-academic teachers from City Pride School as well as junior college were felicitated for guiding the students and helping in their overall development.  
Students of Std IX and Std X were the anchors of the event including Vaishnavi Kulkarni, Yash Kulkarni, Nandini Rajesh, Anish Patil, Shweta Jaikrishnan and Aarya Dharia.

The chief guest was Satishkumar Khadake, CEO and Additional Collector, PCNTDA. He said that he was overwhelmed by the sheer number of awards won by the
students.
