PUNE: Following the recent acquisition of Crysagi Systems, a strong player in providing Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning (AI/ML) services and solutions, by CoreView, a data solution provider with strong capabilities in data engineering, the company is eyeing at building a strong (AI/ML) ecosystem in India.
The company feels that AI/ML offers limitless possibilities and it is the right time for them to explore these opportunities and pass on the benefits of AI/ML to their clients. Sharing their vision with Sakal Times, Makrand Vaidya, CEO, CoreView Systems, said that while the talent pool for AI/ML is available, there is need for talent, who can find applicable use cases of the technology.
“People know how to write codes but they should know what to write,” said Makrand, who is planning to have tie-ups with universities to create an ecosystem for AI/ML technology. Sharing his insights on AI/ML technology, Sudhanwa Rajurkar, CTO, CoreView Systems, said, “Traditionally, we have seen that any new technology first matures in the USA and then it comes to India, but we plan to grow in parallel with USA when it comes to AI/Ml.”
Speaking on ample opportunities that AI/Ml offers, Satish Patil, Owner of Crysagi Systems, shared how he has helped multiple clients in tapping the potential of AI/ML to transform their business.
“AI/ML helps you to predict things, which is helpful for business. Consider a situation where you are able to predict when the machine is going to break down and so companies can design their preventive maintenance plan. We have helped one of our telecom customers by providing them insights in churn analytics, which helped them in tackling their customer attrition rate,” added Satish.
CoreView Systems has been working with many enterprise customers, as well as startups who are sitting on massive data but are unclear on what to expect from this data and analyse real-time.
Speaking on cost and challenges for customers to implement AI/ML, Makrand said that while customers are cost conscious, CoreView helps its customer by making them understand their cost savings after implementation of AI/ML, which helps their customers.
Makrand said that there is good computational power available in India but network conectivity in the country is bothering factor. “Going ahead we will see more anr more systems and servers will comminucate to each other and so it is important to have good network connectivity,” added Makrand.
CTO Sudhanwa shared that for application of AI/ML they are in touch with their clients to explore the potential of AI/ML in client’s business.
“We take a sample of customer’s data and create a proof of concept to demonstrate the benefits of AI,” said Sudhanwa. Speaking on data privacy laws and customer willingness to share data, Makrand said, “We are very much sure that whatever we do is ethically correct. There are data privacy and data protection laws and the legal framework takes care of what can be shared and what cannot.”
Sharing his insights Satish Patil shared that healthcare and defence are two domains where it is difficult to work on customer data due to data privacy and data protection laws. “However the situation is improving and if we want to use AI/ML for the benefit we will have to work on these data,” added Satish.
