Pune, 12 November 2025: Following the recent bomb blast in Delhi, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has intensified its operations across the state. On Tuesday, simultaneous raids were carried out in Pune’s Kondhwa area and Mumbai’s Mumbra locality.
Two suspects were taken into custody for questioning in connection with possible links to the Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir terror cases.
According to ATS sources, the two detained individuals are currently being interrogated, and their identities have been kept confidential. The searches are reportedly linked to the ongoing investigation into IT engineer Zuber Hangargekar, who was recently arrested from Kondhwa. Hangargekar is suspected of having connections with the Pakistan-based terror organization Al-Qaeda.
While ATS officials have clarified that Zuber has no direct link to the Delhi bomb blast, he remains in ATS custody until November 14 as part of a separate investigation.
An ATS officer explained that the team is verifying whether any connection exists between the incidents in Jammu & Kashmir, Faridabad, and Delhi with individuals or networks in Maharashtra. He described the raids as part of a routine and coordinated investigation process, carried out to track any cross-state terror links.
The probe is being conducted at a high level, and officials have indicated that more crucial information could surface in the coming days as the investigation progresses.
