Fallen DP box causes inconvenience

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE:  An electrical Distribution Point (DP) box of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) fell near the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office on Tadiwala Road on Monday.

The fallen DP box caused an obstruction for vehicles passing through the road.

The area comes under the Bund Garden division of MSEDCL. A fireman saw the fallen DP box and immediately used the social media to highlight the incident.

According to a MSEDCL official, “The DP box was damaged as a vehicle rammed into it. Due to this, the entire area suddenly faced a power disruption. When we got the information, our engineer and staff reached the spot. They are trying to fix it and will replace soon. We have resumed power supply from a standby connection.”
