The incident took place late Saturday night at Shetty’s house in Juhu, Mumbai, when unidentified persons opened fire. No one was injured in the incident. Following the attack, Pune Police received information that the suspects had moved to Pune.

Acting swiftly, the Warje Police detained five individuals on Sunday afternoon. The accused have been identified as Aman Anand Marote (27), Aditya Gnaneshwar Gaike (19), Siddharth Deepak Yenpure (20), Samarth Shivshankar Pomaji (18), and Swapnil Bandu Sakat (23), all residents of Pune.

Police said none of them have any prior criminal records and are engaged in daily-wage work, small businesses, or driving jobs.

According to Pune Police, there is a preliminary suspicion that the accused may have links with the gang of Lawrence Bishnoi. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam said the suspects have been handed over to Mumbai Police, who are now investigating the motive behind the firing and whether a larger gang conspiracy was involved.

Police officials said a detailed probe is underway to establish the exact role of each accused and to verify any organised crime connections related to the case.
