Pune, 19 December 2025: A video circulating on social media has drawn attention to traffic indiscipline in Pune after two foreigners were seen urging local riders to follow traffic rules. The incident took place at Rakshak Chowk in the Pimple Nilakh area and was reported by Pune Mirror.

In the video, the two individuals are seen stopping two-wheelers that were riding on the footpath and directing them back onto the main road. One of them is seen standing in the path of an oncoming two-wheeler, signaling the rider to change course and follow the correct route. The pair continued this act for several minutes, drawing the attention.

The video has sparked strong reactions online. Many social media users welcomed the gesture, saying footpaths are meant for pedestrians and not vehicles. Some commented that it was embarrassing that foreigners had to remind locals about basic road safety, while others stressed the need to teach civic sense from an early age in schools.

While opinions remain divided, the incident has once again highlighted the issue of traffic violations and the lack of road discipline in Indian cities, especially when it comes to protecting pedestrian spaces.
