Former Pune Mayor Chanchala Kodre passes away

Pune: Former Pune Mayor Chanchala Kodre (41) died due to cardiac arrest in a private hospital.  She was representing Nationalist congress party in ward number 22 of Pune Municipal Corporation. She was Mayor of the city between September 2013 and 2014.

Her relatives admitted her  in a private hospital in Kharadi after complaint of chest  pain on Sunday night. She was undergoing treatment in a hospital.  she was not responding to the treatment. She was breath her last during the treatment. Hospital declared her dead at around 1.30 Pm on Monday.

She was elected twice from  her ward. She got an opportunity to work as Mayor of the city during her first tenure.
