Leopard Spotted at Kanifnath Temple in Pune, Residents Demand Immediate Safety Measures

Pune, 29 November 2025: A leopard was recently seen roaming on the steps of Kanifnath Temple near Bopdev Ghat in Pune early in the morning around 3:45 am. The sighting was captured on CCTV, raising concern among locals.

Residents have urged the forest department to act quickly. “Authorities should immediately set up cages and take necessary measures around Kanifnath Temple to ensure public safety,” they said.

The Kanifnath sighting comes amid reports of leopards in other parts of Pune, including the Aundh residential area, Pune Airport, and the Savitribai Phule Pune University campus, highlighting the need for increased vigilance across the city.
