Pune, 23rd June 2026: The death of Ketan Vishal Agrawal, who fell into a gorge at Lohagad Fort just days before his wedding, has taken a dramatic turn after police uncovered evidence suggesting the incident was not an accident but a pre-planned conspiracy.
Ketan had died during a trekking trip at Lohagad Fort in the Lonavala region. Initially, the incident was believed to be an accident. His fiancée had reportedly told police that strong winds were blowing at the fort and that Ketan lost his balance while attempting to take a selfie, causing him to fall into the deep gorge.
However, a detailed police investigation has raised serious doubts about that version of events. Preliminary findings indicate that Ketan’s fiancée, along with one of her friends and other associates, allegedly conspired to push him into the gorge. Investigators believe the act was planned in advance and carried out during the trek.
Police sources have revealed that a total of eight people are suspected to have been involved in the conspiracy. Following these developments, Ketan’s father, Vishal Agrawal, has initiated the process of filing a complaint against all eight accused at the Lonavala Rural Police Station.
With the case now being viewed as a suspected murder rather than an accidental death, police have intensified their investigation. Authorities are examining the role of each accused, collecting technical evidence, and analysing material gathered from the scene to establish the full sequence of events and determine criminal liability.
