According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the ongoing rain activity is not connected to the southwest monsoon. The monsoon is yet to reach Kerala, indicating that its arrival in Maharashtra could be delayed further.

Based on the current weather conditions, there is little possibility of the monsoon reaching most parts of the state before June 10. However, localized thunderstorms, gusty winds, and short spells of rain are likely to continue in many districts over the next few days.

Authorities from the agriculture and disaster management departments have appealed to farmers and residents to remain cautious and take necessary precautions during periods of strong winds and thunderstorm activity.
