Mumbai-Pune Expressway: Missing Link Reopens Towards Pune, Mumbai-Bound Traffic Still Diverted After Landslide

Vehicles from Mumbai to Pune can now use the Missing Link stretch, while traffic heading towards Mumbai continues to be diverted via the old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH-48).

Pune, 6th July 2026: Traffic on the Missing Link section of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway has partially resumed following the recent landslide near the Karjat-Lonavala stretch, according to the Highway Police.

Vehicles travelling from Mumbai towards Pune are now allowed to use the Missing Link route, and traffic on this side has been restored.

However, the Missing Link remains closed for vehicles travelling from Pune towards Mumbai. As a result, all Mumbai-bound traffic is being diverted through the old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH-48) until further notice.

The Highway Police have advised motorists heading towards Mumbai to use the diversion route, drive carefully, and follow traffic regulations to ensure safe and smooth travel.
