The official inauguration ceremony took place at Shri Bhairavnath Mandir in Kondhwa Khurd. The event saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, who gathered to witness the launch of the service. The new bus route is expected to be a major boon for office-goers, students, and daily wage workers commuting to Pune’s city centre, where many key government offices, hospitals, and educational institutions are located.

Speaking on the occasion, Akshay Shinde, General Secretary of the Hadapsar Legislative Assembly (BJP), said that the new service would help residents save valuable time and reduce the stress of daily travel. He added that this bus route would bridge a long-standing gap in public transport access for Kondhwa residents, offering a reliable and affordable commuting option.

PMPML officials, including Naik and Hendre, attended the launch event, along with the assigned bus driver Handal and conductor Khatate. In a show of appreciation, both were felicitated by community members. The gesture reflected the public’s support and gratitude for the improved transport link, which many had been demanding for years.

The event also saw the presence of several Mahayuti leaders, party office-bearers, and prominent citizens of Kondhwa Khurd. The strong turnout highlighted how vital this new bus service is to the area. With the launch of Route 101, the PMPML and local leadership have taken a concrete step toward strengthening Pune’s suburban connectivity and addressing a critical civic need.
