The accused have been identified as Aryan Ajay Mane alias Monty (21), a resident of Harpale Vasti in Fursungi; Vishal Maruti Acharya (25) from Ramtekdi; and Omkar Suresh Gosavi (22) from Fursungi. Police investigations revealed that Mane and Gosavi are repeat offenders with previous cases registered against them at Hadapsar, Wanwadi, and Lonikand police stations for similar crimes.

The recent case that led to their arrest involved a break-in attempt at a bank near East Street on July 15, 2025. One of the suspects was seen opening cupboards and scattering documents, while the vault had been removed and placed aside. Based on this, Lashkar Police registered a case and began an intensive probe.

Officers Lokesh Kadam and Sagar Haral from the investigation team examined CCTV footage between Lashkar and Fursungi, which helped identify the vehicle used in the crime. A trap was then laid in the Ramtekdi, Hadapsar, and Fursungi areas, resulting in the arrest of all three accused.

During interrogation, the trio confessed to burglaries in both Lashkar and Kondhwa. The police have recovered stolen valuables from them.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Rajesh Bansode, Deputy Commissioner Milind Mohite, Assistant Commissioner Atulkumar Navghire, Senior Inspector Girish Dighavkar, and Inspector Pradeep Pawar. The core investigation team was led by Assistant Inspector Vishal Dandge.
