PUNE: After the recent hoarding collapse incident at Juna Bazaar, the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) authorities now seem to be on their toes, as they have issued orders for a survey of the hoardings to be carried out in the Cantonment area and remove illegal hoardings if any by October 15.

DN Yadav, CEO of PCB, said, “To avoid such mishaps in the jurisdiction of Pune Cantonment Board, I have issued orders to the chief revenue department to take a review of illegal and legal hoardings and accordingly remove the illegal hoardings if any.”

“I have also ordered checking of the iron bars of the legal hoardings, if they are in proper condition or rusted. And if they are rusted, then they should be maintained,” Yadav added.
