Shops and temporary sheds constructed illegally by business owners were removed at key locations like the Nagar Road underpass, Viman Nagar Chowk, and Chandan Nagar Chowk. Additionally, unauthorized structures erected from the Tata Guardroom to Sainathnagar Road were cleared. Officials also took action against encroachments along the roadside by unregistered vendors, ensuring smoother traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

In the Kharadi locality, enforcement teams dismantled illegal sheds and removed unauthorized vendors at the Sweet India Chowk, where several front margin violations had occurred. Similarly, rooftop encroachments at D-Mart in Kalyani Nagar were brought down, addressing long-standing civic violations. These actions were taken to uphold zoning regulations and prevent unauthorized use of public infrastructure.

The drive was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Sheetal Wakde from the Wadgaon Sheri Regional Office. The team included Building Department Inspectors Umesh Godge, Bhushan Kokate, and Mangesh Gaikwad, along with Deputy Engineer Ganesh Salunkhe. Regional Encroachment Officer Subhash Talekar, Inspector Rajendra Londhe, and all assistant inspectors were also involved in the large-scale operation.

The civic body has reiterated its commitment to maintaining public spaces by continuing such anti-encroachment actions. Residents and business owners have been urged to cooperate and refrain from occupying margins or roadsides illegally.
