The inaugural trip received an enthusiastic response, with 99 passengers on board, many of them women. Speaking at the event, Mudhol-Munde expressed satisfaction with the continued support for PMPML’s tourism initiative. She highlighted that more citizens, especially women, are choosing this safe, affordable, and environmentally friendly option for regional travel.

Route No. 11 connects Swargate to Lonavala with stops at Deccan Gymkhana, Ekvira Devi Temple, and Karla Caves. Tourists can explore nearby attractions such as Bhushi Dam, the Manashakti Dhyan Kendra, and the Wax Museum on their own after reaching Lonavala Railway Station. The buses return to Swargate on the same day.

Each passenger is charged ₹500 for a round trip. Tickets can be booked at PMPML pass centers located at key points across the city, including Deccan Gymkhana, Pune Station, Katraj, Swargate, Hadapsar, Pune Municipal Bhavan, Nigdi, and Bhosari. A special group offer allows those booking an entire 33-seater bus to receive five complimentary seats.

To ensure convenience, PMPML tourist tickets also allow passengers to travel on regular PMPML buses between their home and the departure point on the same day. A guide accompanies each bus to share insights about the destinations during the journey.

With this new addition, PMPML now operates 11 tourist routes covering both religious and recreational sites across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Previously available only on weekends and holidays, these services are now available daily, depending on passenger demand.
