Pune, 31 March 2026: In a major boost for air travellers, Pune Airport has announced new flight services to Bagdogra, Solapur, Tirupati, and Mangaluru as part of its summer schedule.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved 15 additional slots, allowing expanded operations at the airport.
The new summer schedule came into effect from March 29, 2026. Out of the approved slots, 15 will become operational from May 1, increasing the airport’s total slot capacity to 235. Currently, 216 slots are in use, while the remaining will be allocated to airlines based on aircraft availability.
This expansion is expected to significantly strengthen Pune’s domestic connectivity. Along with the introduction of new routes, flight frequencies to major metro cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai have also been increased.
Flights to Bagdogra will be operated by Air India, while Star Air will handle services to Solapur and Tirupati. Fly 91 will operate flights to Mangaluru. Additionally, SpiceJet will increase flights to Kolkata, Akasa Air to Varanasi, and Air India Express to Bengaluru.
“The addition of 15 new slots will help launch services on new routes like Solapur, Tirupati, and Mangaluru, strengthening Pune’s domestic connectivity,” said Santosh Dhoke, Director of Pune Airport.
