Pune Airport to remain shut from April 26 to May 9

Due to runway resurfacing works, Pune Airport will have no flight operations for 14 days from April 26 till May 9, 2021.

Pune: The Lohegaon airport will be closed due to runway resurfacing work for a total of 14 days in April and May month. As a result, there will be no flights operations for these 14 days from the Pune airport.

The Pune Airport authorities have clarified that as per information received from the Indian Air Force (IAF), due to runway resurfacing works, Pune Airport will have no flight operations for 14 days from April 26 till May 9, 2021.

The airport administration however did not clarify about the status of tickets booked by passengers during this period. Airlines have also not communicated about this sudden change in flight operations status at the airport.

The Lohegaon Pune Airport is a Defence Airport. It was closed during night hours 8pm to 8am for one year from October 26, 2020. The Indian Air Force is carrying out repair and maintenance work at the runway of Lohegaon Airport and hence the civilian air traffic operations have been restricted during the night hours.
