Officials said such sensitive cases are routinely handed over to the CID to ensure an independent and comprehensive inquiry. With the case now formally assigned, the CID will take charge of all further investigation related to the incident.

Senior CID officers are expected to arrive in Baramati in the coming days. They will examine technical factors related to the aircraft, administrative clearances, and policy-level aspects connected to aviation operations and safety.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is also preparing its technical report on the crash. Based on preliminary inputs from DGCA and local investigating agencies, initial findings are likely to be available soon, which may help determine the cause of the accident and the next course of action.
