Pune, 30 July 2025: A serious road accident occurred on Tuesday morning around 9 AM on the Pune–Satara highway near Velu village, when a container truck lost control and rammed into multiple vehicles.
According to officials, the container was en route from Pune toward Satara when it struck three two-wheelers, a pickup tempo, and a truck. The impact was so severe that both the container and the pickup tempo overturned.
Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the incident. However, five people sustained injuries, with two of them reported to be in serious condition. Police immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash caused temporary traffic congestion on the highway. Police later cleared the road with the help of a crane, moving the damaged vehicles off the route and restoring normal traffic flow.
Authorities have confirmed that the vehicles involved in the crash suffered significant damage. Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the container losing control.
