Pune: After Maharashtra Chief Minister in an address to state on Tuesday announced lockdown style curfew in the state till May 1, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday issued revised guidelines.

As per an order issued by the PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar on Wednesday, those establishments under the essential service category can remain function between 7 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday.

Also, Section 144 (curfew) will be in place in PMC limits from Wednesday itself till May 1. The order further stated that people will not be allowed to travel and venture without any concern reasons. Only home delivery services will be permitted from 7 am to 11 pm.

WHAT WILL REMAIN FUNCTIONAL DURING LOCKDOWN STYLE CURFEW

• Groceries, vegetables and fruit vendors, milk dairies, bakeries, confectionaries, all type of food shops.

• Chicken, mutton, egg shops

• Hospitals, diagnostic centres, vaccination centres, pharma companies, other medical and health services.

• Public transport including flights, trains, taxis, autos-rickshaws and buses.

• Pre-Monsoon activity work will remain operational.

• Reserve Bank of India and bank services.

• Services required for restoration/ maintenance of telecom services.

• Veterinary services, animal care shelters and pet food shops.

• Transport of goods and water supply services.

• Petrol Pumps and all cargo services.

• Agriculture related activities.

• Import-Export of all products.

• E-commerce activities (only for the supply of essential goods and services).

• Accredited media

• Government and private security services

• Electric and gas supply services

• Postal services

During the lockdown style curfew, there are new guidelines declared by the state government. As public transport will be restricted during this period, there are some new rules for travelling around the state.

Public transport will be fully operational with following norms:

RICKSHAW

Driver plus two passengers only

TAXI (FOUR-WHEELER)

Driver plus 50 per cent vehicle capacity as per RTO.

BUS

• Full seating occupancy as per RTO rule. However, no standing passengers will be permitted.

• All people using public transport to mandatorily wear mask barring which fine of Rs 500 will be imposed on those flouting.

• In four-wheeler taxis, if any one person is not wearing mask, the offender and the driver of the taxi will be fined an amount of Rs 500 each.
