Pune, 10th August 2026: The Crime Branch conducted a raid at The Houz Commune, a popular pub located inside Aeromall in Viman Nagar, at around 3.20 AM on August 9 for violation of prescribed rules.
According to the police, crime branch officials were informed that a party was underway beyond the permitted hours at the place leading to a surprise raid at around 3 AM. The police found 89 customers (63 male and 26 female).
The accused have been identified viz Mangesh Dhimdhime (The Owner), Sumit Got (The Sponser), Nooe Hussain Shaikh (The Manager), Sonali Pandit(The DJ) and employees Aniket Kir, Sunita Verma, Anant Gaikwad and Shanur Qazi.
The case is being registered under relavant sections of The Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), and for violating the Maharashtra Prohibition Act and the Prohibition of Electronic Cigerettes Act.
