Pune Crime: Delivery Boy Attacked with Weapon in Koregaon Park Over Old Dispute

Pune Crime: 23-year-old seriously injured after accused allegedly slit his throat; Police have booked the accused and launched an investigation

Pune, 21 April 2026: A 23-year-old delivery boy was seriously injured after being attacked with a weapon in Koregaon Park area late Saturday night. The attack is believed to have stemmed from a previous dispute between the victim and the accused.

The injured youth has been identified as Saurabh Kishor Gaikwad, a resident of Sant Gadge Maharaj Vasahat in Koregaon Park. Based on his complaint, police have registered a case against Gaurav Baban Rajguru, who lives in the same locality.

According to Pune police, Saurabh works as a delivery boy and had an earlier argument with the accused. Holding a grudge, Rajguru allegedly attacked him around midnight on April 18, striking his neck with a weapon. Saurabh sustained serious injuries in the assault.

Senior police officials, including Deputy Commissioner Rajlaxmi Shiwankar, Assistant Commissioner Sangeeta Alfonso-Shinde, and Senior Inspector Vijaykumar Doke, visited the scene after the incident came to light.

The case has been registered at Koregaon Park Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
