Pune Crime: 32-Year-Old Man Found Murdered Near Z Bridge; Police Launch Investigation

Pune Crime: Body discovered in Mutha riverbed, police suspect brutal attack with sharp weapon; Police have registered a murder case against unidentified persons

Pune, 20 April 2026: A shocking murder came to light on Sunday morning near Z Bridge in Pune’s Deccan area, after the body of a 32-year-old man was found in the Mutha riverbed.

The deceased has been identified as Krushal Kasbe, a resident of Dhanakwadi. According to police, his throat had been slit with a sharp weapon, indicating a violent and targeted attack that led to his death on the spot.

The incident was reported around 7:30 am, Sunday morning when authorities received information about a body lying in the riverbed between Z Bridge and Lakdi Pul. Police immediately rushed to the scene and began preliminary investigation procedures.

Based on initial findings, an unidentified individual is believed to have attacked Kasbe with multiple blows using a sharp weapon, causing fatal injuries.

A case of murder has been registered at Deccan Police Station against unknown accused. The complaint was filed by police constable Akash Sonawane.

Senior Police Inspector Girisha Nimbalkar is currently leading the investigation. Police are working to identify and trace the accused, but no arrests have been made so far.
