Pune, 7th May 2026: Incidents of minor girls allegedly being lured away and reported missing continue to surface across Pune, creating concern among parents and residents.

In the last two days alone, six girls aged between 15 and 17 have gone missing from different parts of the city, posing a major challenge for the police.

According to police information, the cases have been reported from Narhe, Wanowrie, Fursungi, Hadapsar, Kalepadal, and Wagholi areas. Police have registered kidnapping cases and launched search operations to trace the missing girls and identify those involved.

In Narhe, two girls aged 15 and 17 were allegedly lured away by unidentified persons. A kidnapping case was registered at the Narhe police station on Tuesday.

Similar incidents were also reported from Wanowrie and Fursungi, where girls aged 17 and 16 respectively went missing on May 4. Police in both areas have started investigations.

Another 17-year-old girl was reported missing from Hadapsar, while a 16-year-old girl from Kalepadal was allegedly taken away by an unidentified person. In Wagholi, police registered a case after a 17-year-old girl went missing earlier this week.

With several such incidents being reported from different parts of the city one after another, concerns regarding the safety of women and minors have intensified. Pune Police said investigations are underway in all cases and efforts are being made to trace the girls at the earliest.
