Pune: Three Arrested for Creating Panic With Weapons and Loud Bullet Noise in Dive Ghat

Pune Police detain four, including a minor, after nighttime hooliganism in Dive Ghat; Police traced the group through technical analysis

Pune, 16th May 2026: Police have arrested three youths and detained a minor for allegedly spreading fear in the Dive Ghat by waving sharp weapons and creating loud noise using modified Bullet motorcycle silencers.

According to police, the accused created chaos in the area late at night by riding motorcycles recklessly and threatening people with sickles and other weapons. The incident triggered panic among residents in the locality.

A case has been registered at Fursungi Police Station against the four accused. The arrested individuals have been identified as Yash Laxman Kute (20), Vedant Pramod Kute (20), and Prem Prasad Navale (20), all residents of Awhalwadi in Wagholi. Police have also detained a 17-year-10-month-old minor in connection with the case.

Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said the accused were tracked down after Senior Police Inspector Amol More’s team carried out technical analysis and launched a search operation. The team later detained all four from the Wagholi.

Investigators also took the accused to the crime spot to gather further details about the incident. Police said efforts are underway to identify and trace others who may have been involved in the hooliganism.
