In one incident at Fursungi, a rocket firecracker landed on the balcony of a tenth-floor apartment building, igniting a curtain and causing a minor fire inside the flat. Fortunately, residents acted swiftly, and firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control.

At Kharadi’s Gera Society, a stray firecracker sparked a fire in a pile of garbage, while another fire was reported near the Hadapsar railway tracks, where dry grass caught fire. Fire brigade teams reached all three sites promptly and prevented the flames from spreading further.

Officials confirmed that no injuries or casualties occurred in any of the incidents. The causes of the remaining 22 fires reported during the same period are still being investigated.

The fire department has once again urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and ensure safety precautions while bursting crackers during festive occasions.
