In the first case, the incident occurred at Range Hills in Khadki. Police said that Joseph Aruldas Moses (47), a resident of the area, allegedly set his pet dog on a youth following a minor dispute.

The complainant told police that Moses threw a stone towards his vehicle, prompting him to confront him. During the argument, Moses allegedly released his dog, which bit the complainant, causing injuries. A case has been registered against Moses at the Khadki Police Station.

In the second incident, a youth was bitten by a pit bull near Samagra Yuvak Kranti Mandal in Shivajinagar Gaothan on Saturday evening (October 25). The dog, owned by Akshay Shelar (30), had been left unchained on the street. The complainant suffered a leg injury after the dog bit his calf. Police have booked Shelar at the Shivajinagar Police Station for negligence.

Both cases highlight growing concerns about irresponsible pet ownership and public safety in densely populated Pune neighbourhoods.
