Pune: Dr Vinod Shah first in city to receive COVID-19 vaccine dose

Dr Vinod Shah was the first citizen in the city who received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Pune: The COVID-19 vaccination drive was inaugurated at the hands of Mayor Murlidhar Mohol on Saturday (January 16) at the Kamla Nehru Hospital run by Pune Municipal Corporation. Dr Vinod Shah was the first citizen in the city who received the COVID19 vaccine.

Dr Vinod Shah (74) has comorbidities like asthma and diabetes. He along with Dr Nitin Abhyankar from Poona Hospital received the first dose of COVISHIELD Covid-19 vaccine.

Along with Mayor Mohol, Deputy Mayor Saraswati Shedge, PMC Standing Committee Chairman Hemant Rasane, Leader of the House Ganesh Bidkar, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal, Health Chief Dr Ashish Bharati and others were present on the occasion.
