Pune: Two-Wheeler Rider Lost Life After Crashed with Speeding Dumper

Young man dies after a dumper hits a motorcycle on Mundhwa–Manjari Road; police register case, driver absconds

Pune, 25 December 2025: A 35-year-old man lost his life after a speeding dumper rammed into a two-wheeler on the Mundhwa–Manjari Road late Monday night. The incident took place around 10.30 pm, triggering fresh concerns over reckless heavy-vehicle driving in the area.

The deceased has been identified as Bhushan Kailas Ahirrao, a resident of Manjari Budruk. He was riding the motorcycle with his younger brother, Pankaj Ahirrao, when the dumper coming from the opposite direction hit their vehicle. The impact left Bhushan critically injured, while Pankaj was thrown onto the road and suffered injuries.

After the accident, the dumper driver did not stop and fled the scene. Both brothers were rushed to a private hospital, where Bhushan succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Following a complaint lodged by Pankaj Ahirrao, the Mundhwa Police Station registered a case against the unidentified dumper driver. Senior police officials visited the accident spot for inspection, and further investigation is underway to trace the absconding driver.
