Pune: Siddharth Shirole, Member of Legislative Assembly from the Shivajinagar assembly constituency has informed that forest ecotourism project popularly known as Van Vihar will soon come up on Chatuhshrungi hill. This project will be on the lines of Panchgaon Vanvihar and funds for the project will be sanctioned soon.

The Pune District Planning and Development Council meeting was held on Monday (January 25) under chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Shivajinagar MLA Siddharth Shirole made the forest ecotourism project demand during this meeting which was approved in-principle immediately.

Minister of State for Forests Dattatreya Bharane has assured that funds for the project will be sanctioned soon, MLA Shirole has informed through his twitter handle.

In a series of tweet, MLA Shirole said, "Vanvihar (Forest Eco-Tourism) project on the lines of Pachgaon Vanvihar on the hills from Chatuhshrungi and Symbiosis has been approved in principle in the meeting of Pune District Planning & Development Council held today under chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. In the meeting I have put forth the demand of citizens to develop a small ecotourism center that will not only protect the hills, environment and spread awareness but will also create a safe and conducive setting for exercise and training for citizens of all ages."

"Minister of State for Forests Dattatreya Bharane has approved the project in principle and has assured that the funds for developing the Vanvihar (Forest Eco-Tourism) project on Chatuhshrungi hill on the lines of Pachgaon Vanvihar will be sanctioned soon," Shirole has said in his concluding tweet.
