According to preliminary information, hospital staff noticed a suspicious object inside the toilet area and immediately alerted the police. Soon after, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), fire brigade officials and senior police officers reached the hospital and secured the premises.

Authorities temporarily restricted movement around the hospital as a precautionary measure, leading to fear and confusion among patients, relatives and local residents. The suspicious object was later examined by the BDDS team for nearly seven hours.

During the inspection, officials reportedly found gelatin sticks and a digital timer-like device attached to the object, raising serious security concerns. The bomb disposal squad later shifted the object to an open space near the gliding center area, where it was safely neutralized.

Police confirmed that no explosion or injuries were reported in the incident. However, the discovery of such a device inside a busy hospital has raised major questions over security arrangements at private healthcare facilities, especially in locations that witness heavy public movement daily.

Investigators are now trying to determine who placed the suspicious object and whether it was intended to create panic or cause harm. Police are examining CCTV footage, visitor records and technical evidence from the hospital premises.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that local police, the Crime Branch and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) are jointly investigating the case. Officials are also probing whether the act was linked to personal disputes, financial disagreements or any other motive.
