Pashan recorded 13.5 mm of rainfall during the day, while Lavale witnessed the highest at 20 mm. Shivajinagar area registered 8 mm of rain. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted the possibility of heavy showers in parts of the ghat regions on Wednesday as well.

On Monday, the city saw a mix of sunshine and light rain, but Tuesday morning brought consistent showers. The timing of the rain coincided with the peak hours for commuters, causing major inconvenience. People heading to work and students attending school faced significant challenges due to the sudden burst of rain.

The downpour led to waterlogging in several parts of the city and traffic jams on major roads. Many residents found themselves stranded indoors or delayed on their routes. The rain, which lasted for nearly two to two-and-a-half hours, severely impacted the city’s road traffic and mobility.

Looking ahead, the IMD has predicted a slight increase in both daytime and nighttime temperatures. The maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 28–30°C, while the minimum could go up to 23–24°C in the next two days.
