The Anti-Narcotics Cell had placed the rooftop establishment under surveillance after receiving inputs that it was running without the required permissions. The entry to the venue was tightly controlled, making direct access difficult for authorities.

To gather evidence, police personnel posed as college students and managed to enter the premises with the help of a regular visitor. Once inside, they confirmed that customers were being served hookah and liquor illegally.

Following this, the team conducted a raid at the location and took action against seven individuals, including staff and those linked to the operation.

Police said the action is part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal establishments in the city, adding that further investigation is underway to identify others involved.
