According to police, the accused gained the trust of complainant Vitthal Pandurang Bhise, a resident of Jaitapur in Nanded district, by assuring him they could secure a well-paying government job. Believing their claims, Bhise agreed to pay the demanded amount.

Police said the accused allegedly met the complainant at different hotels on several occasions and gradually collected a total of ₹20 lakh. Despite receiving the money, they neither arranged the promised job nor returned the amount.

Realising he had been duped, Bhise approached the police and lodged a complaint. Based on his statement, Deccan Police registered a case against Pandhari Ramlou Pogakwar of Beed district, Laxmikant Marotrao Jirewad of Parbhani, and Bharat Nivrutti Kamble of Warje Malwadi.
