Local train services from Pune Railway Station have been temporarily shifted to Shivajinagar Railway Station after a coach of the Vande Bharat Express derailed near Pune station on Monday.

According to railway authorities, no local trains will depart from Pune station on Tuesday, April 28, until 1 PM. Commuters traveling on routes such as Pune–Lonavala have been asked to board trains from Shivajinagar station instead

The derailment of Vande Bharat Express occurred just before the train entered Pune Railway Station, when a wheel of one coach slipped off the track at a diamond crossing. No passengers were injured in the incident.

Officials said repair and reconstruction work at the crossing is being carried out on priority, and normal train operations are expected to resume later in the day.
